Scribendi Review — 8 Comments

  1. Thanks, Robin.

I appreciate this. There are many online writing scams out there . Who does one trust?

Are there any companies that you would recommend ?

    • I’m sorry to say, Deborah, but I don’t have any other recommendations at this point. My two friends who worked for Scribendi raved about it. They loved the fact that work was posted on a first-come-first-take board, the variety of the work and the support provided by the management.

I have spent more time researching courses that provide real work-from-home careers (where you are your own boss and set your own schedule), than companies.

  2. I am considering employment with Scribendi. I am researching all the posts and will submit an application for a proofreading/editing post. I wish to continue to pay it forward by helping learners and companies excellent editing support.

I have over 28 years experience teaching high school and college English courses. I have accumulated 10 national teaching awards as a Creative Writing director for a large urban public school system. Those essays still remain in The National Library of Congress.

    • Impressive, Deborah! 🙂 It sounds like you would be an asset to the company.

We would really like to hear about your experiences once you’ve worked there for a while. I wrote this review a couple of years ago based on factual information and experiences of a friend who worked there at the time. So it would be interesting to hear how it is now and if it still provides a satisfying work experience.

      All the best,

    • It is a perfect anywhere anytime job if you are into editing or proofreading. When you log in you can see all the possible projects with their deadlines. It is up to you to choose which to accept. And there is such a variety of material to edit. Really great place to work.
